The "Nussa", located at the gates of Casentino, was certified in the late fifteenth century in the homonymous locality, in the territory of the Municipality of Capolona, in a suggestive site overlooking the course of the Arno river, already significant in the Early Middle Ages for a defensive settlement later characterized from the fifteenth century by two buildings that used the water power to grind cereals and sharpen irons.
